Free spay or neuter, rabies shot and ear tip for unowned outdoor cats in Austin and unincorporated Travis County. Drop off 1 or 2 cats at the shelter, Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm, no appointment. Or ask for volunteer trappers by email.
For free-roaming, unowned cats that live in Austin or unincorporated Travis County. Not for pet cats.
SNR: bring the cat to the shelter during open hours, no appointment. Allow up to an hour. TNR: email communitycats@austintexas.gov with a trapping request. There is a long wait list for trappers.

Cats are fixed by Austin Humane Society and come back to be returned where they were found. Email communitycats@austintexas.gov for questions or trap help. For a cat in a life-threatening emergency, call 311.
