About Low Cost Vet Finder

Low Cost Vet Finder helps you find vet care you can afford: low-cost clinics, shot clinics, spay and neuter programs, and help paying a vet bill. For each one we tell you who qualifies, how to get in and what it costs, when the provider says.

Why it exists

When money is tight and a pet needs care, the hard part is often not finding a clinic but finding out whether you can use it. Low-cost programs have rules about income, where you live, the kind of pet or the day of the week, and those rules are spread across dozens of websites, PDFs and Facebook posts. We read them so you can see the rules before you call or drive across town.

Who runs it

Low Cost Vet Finder is a small, independent project. We are not a vet, a shelter or a charity, and we are not connected to any clinic, shelter or program we list. Nothing here is medical advice: if your pet is hurt or very sick, call the nearest emergency vet.

How we check

Every fact comes from the provider's own website, not from review sites or other directories, and each listing shows the date we last checked it. If a provider doesn't publish something, we say so instead of guessing. Listings that go 90 days without a re-check drop out of search results until they are checked again. More on how we check.

What we cover

234 places across Austin, TX, Columbus, OH, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX. More Texas cities are next, then the rest of the country. You can also compare prices city by city.

What we won't do

No star ratings, no copied reviews, no rankings of "best" clinics, and no guesses dressed up as facts. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it: corrections@lowcostvetfinder.com.
