Who can use it

For homeless, unowned cats only — you must agree to return the cat to where it was found and keep feeding it.

• Cat must be homeless and unsterilized
• Trapper must release the cat back to its outdoor location and keep feeding it
• Best suited to smaller colonies; larger colonies may be referred elsewhere
• Those who can't pay toward the vet bill are prioritized for assistance

How to get in

Fill out the form on HOPE's website. They'll send you an ID valid for 90 days, then you set up the surgery with their partner veterinarian.

What it costs

They don't post prices. Ask for the total when you call.

• Vouchers: Issues an ID authorizing subsidized surgery at a partner clinic; trappers are asked to donate toward the vet bill.

Good to know

IDs are good for 90 days only and can't be renewed. Only a limited number of subsidized IDs are issued each quarter (3 for early 2026), so apply early.
