Dallas Community Cat Program (Free TNR)

Who can use it

For City of Dallas residents helping unowned outdoor cats that live inside Dallas city limits.

• Cats must be feral or unowned community cats
• Kittens and cats headed to a rescue group are not covered
• One Service Request number per address; it can be reused
• If the cat is already fixed, you pay for any services done
• Feral cats in humane traps; friendly cats may come in hard-sided carriers

How to get in

Call 311, use the Dallas 311 app, or the online form: pick Animal Care and Control, then Animal Community Cat Program. Then walk in at Spay Neuter Network Dallas (9am check-in, up to 2 cats) or book with TCAP at 940-566-5551.

When

First Thursday of each month: bring up to 40 cats total to Dallas Animal Services at 7am for transport to surgery; pick up by 5pm. Walk-up surgery at Spay Neuter Network Dallas Tuesday-Friday, 9am check-in.

What it costs

• Vouchers: City-funded; the Service Request number works as the voucher.

What they do

• free spay/neuter for community cats
• ear tip
• microchip
• core vaccines and rabies
• post-surgery pain medication
• monthly transport day at Dallas Animal Services

Good to know

Put your name and phone number on the trap or carrier and cover it with a towel. Cats must weigh at least 2 lbs.
