Who can use it
For family pets of people who live in the areas the county shelter serves, including Cedar Park, Hutto, Leander, Round Rock, Georgetown and unincorporated Williamson County. Not for rescue groups.
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and 2 lbs
Dogs must not be over 80 lbs

Free spay or neuter for dogs and cats on a mobile clinic that visits Austin parks and rec centers. Austin and Travis County residents only. No appointment: line up at 6am, first come, first served, and spots run out.
Free spay or neuter, rabies shot and ear tip for unowned outdoor cats in Austin and unincorporated Travis County. Drop off 1 or 2 cats at the shelter, Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm, no appointment. Or ask for volunteer trappers by email.
